Quirky! there is no place like this. High vaulted lounge with galleried dining room offers spacious accommodation for families wanting to enjoy the Snowdonia countryside. Igam Ogam (Zig-Zag) is an attractive barn conversion set in lovely countryside on the edge of Snowdonia National Park with excellent hill and mountain walks from the door near Llanllyfni village. Situated between Caernarfon (7miles) and Porthmadog (13miles) and only 4 miles from the award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle and 6 miles from Rhyl Ddu and the 'best' footpath up Snowdon!

Very pleasant stay. Clean, tidy, everything we needed and the layout of Zig Zag cottage kept me fit, ( up & down the stairs). It even confused the dogs for the first couple of days. Very friendly helpful hosts.

Beautifully clean, well equipped kitchen, pool table lots of games and puzzles should the weather be unkind.
Jane was brilliant very helpful and easy to talk to and helpful in lots of ways.

The cottage was deceptively large and there was plenty of room fir all of us to sit and eat and relax in separate areas. The location is great fir snowdon and for the coast

On arrival we were met by Jane who is so friendly and helpful. We should have gone last September but following a serious accident, she kindly let us reschedule. She really couldn't have been more helpful.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The rear garden is fully fenced and has lovely views, our 3 dogs loved it. Perfect place to sit and listen to the birds sing at the start and end of the day, just so relaxing.
It's location is perfect to access many places for day trips. The house its self is great, very comfortable. Just one thing I would flag up is that the stairs to the first floor are very steep, so wouldn't recommend it for anyone with mobility issue, but other than that it is a great place for a holiday.

Zig Zag Cottage is the perfect place for families who want to get into the mountains or to the beach- perfectly located. The cottage itself has a great living space- we had two families with 4 children under 6 and we never felt like we were falling over each other. The cottage was immaculate, comfortable beds and games provided. The kitchen was well equipped and the garden great for dogs. I would suggest for guests to bring hand towels for the bathrooms as well as towels for washing and also hand soap Ian my provided so make sure you back some. Only thing I would change is if the accommodation is focused for families to add a washing machine but we manage fine and Jane was so helpful before and during our stay. We will be looking to stay again for sure- thank you!



For a large family this was an excellent choice.

Baby to Grandparents plus 3 dogs - plenty of space for all. The pool table went down well too.
The house had plenty of essentials particularly in the kitchen.
The dining table on the mezzanine above the main room encouraged sitting down together
rather than the more normal TV trays.
The garden was huge great for the kids to run around in, plus garden furniture.
All in all a great hideaway, very little noise, but in the center of lots of well known places
in North Wales.



You won't be disapointed with this property.

Can't fault the property. Everything we hoped for was there. Very spacious. Very comfortable...... if only the Welsh weather was as reliable.

Great location and a lovely welcome from the owners .
Zig zag is clean , comfortable and spacious. Would 100% recommend this holiday home and will be definitely visiting again as so much to do in the local area .
